The Biggest Week in American Birding

May 7, 2027 May 16, 2027

Organized by Black Swamp Bird Observatory, the Biggest Week in American Birding is a 10-day festival held in Oak Harbor, Ohio, the “Warbler Capital of the World!” Held in May to coincide with the peak of songbird migration, this welcoming and inclusive festival immerses birders in spring migration, featuring close-up, eye-level views of more than 30 species of warblers, an experience that many consider the best spring birding North America has to offer.

The Biggest Week offers something for everyone and all skill levels, including bird identification workshops, keynote presentations, guided birding trips, daily accessible trips, a Birder’s Marketplace, Optics Alley, a Bird Tattoo Contest, Bird Trivia Night, evening socials with free refreshments, music, prizes, and much more!

If you’re interested in joining our volunteer flock or would like more information about the festival, please visit the Biggest Week website.
