The festival is an educational celebration of the Kirtland’s Warbler, its habitat, and the communities located in the jack pine ecosystem—Kirtland’s country.

The weekend starts with the Kirtland’s Warbler Festival Kickoff at 8 am, Friday, at the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve in Roscommon followed by a social evening with a keynote speaker, beer and wine tasting, appetizers, and live auction.

On Saturday, from 8 am to 4 pm, is the Kirtland’s Warbler Festival at the CRAF Center, 606 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan. Experience Northern Michigan through a variety of activities, including bird banding, jack pine tours, nature and educational presentations, featured artist, featured author, kids’ market, teen bird photo contest, Kirtland’s Warbler calendar contest, live animals, vendors, live art auction, live music, and much more!

The Kirtland’s Warbler Weekend will be part of the SummerFest in downtown Roscommon, which includes the classic car show and Village Cornhole Tournament.
