Festival of the Cranes at Wheeler NWR

The festival celebrates Sandhill Cranes and Whooping Cranes that winter on Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. There will be a variety of special speakers, art displays, and children’s activities taking place at a number of venues in downtown Decatur. The festival includes birdwatching opportunities at the refuge’s Visitor Center and Wildlife Observation Building.

Robyn Bailey, Cornell Lab’s NestWatch Leader, will be giving a presentation at the Alabama Center for the Arts in the Performing Arts Building (Recital Hall). There will also be presentations from other organizations in the Recital Hall and Room 118.
