Male Pileated Woodpecker Feeds His Youngster At Cornell Feeders

Watch a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers arrive for snacks at the Cornell Lab FeederWatch Cam.

A male Pileated Woodpecker stopped by the Cornell Lab FeederWatch Cam to grab dinner with his male offspring in this late-August highlight. Watch the two giant woodpeckers feast at their own feeders until the adult hops front and center to deliver a bite of suet to the youngster. Now that fall migration is heating up, we won’t see as many juvenile birds visiting the feeders with their parents, so watch while you can!
