Female Barred Owl Reveals Eggs As Hatch Watch Nears

Watch the female Barred Owl take an incubation break and reveal her eggs.

On the Barred Owl Cam, the female takes a short break from the nest box on the morning of April 7, offering a rare daytime look at her two white eggs.

We expect the first egg to hatch around April 12, which marks day 32 of incubation. The incubation period for Barred Owls generally lasts 28–33 days, though eggs at this site typically hatch between 32 and 34 days.

Make sure to watch the Wild Birds Unlimited Barred Owl Cam to see the eggs hatch live, and follow daily updates on Twitter/X and Mastodon.
