Tipton County Museum Birdfest

Join us for the Tipton County Museum Birdfest May 3 to May 5!

The Birdfest will kickoff with a hike, Friday, at Fort Pillow State Park at 3 pm, followed by our opening reception at the Tipton County Museum, at 6 pm, with a keynote speaker on waterfowl migration and “Duck and Turkey Banding.”

Saturday morning join us Facebook live for “Legends of the Nightjar” with Bob Ford, followed by a trip from the museum to the Lower Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge for a morning birding hike/walk. Next, meet back at the museum for the educational snake program, lunch, backyard birds program, Quail Conservation lecture, and a sunset pontoon and hayride or sunset bird walk.

Sunday morning join us at the museum for a trip to a quail preserve, followed by lunch; a birds of prey show; pollinators, songbird migration, and endangered species lectures; a sunset pontoon and hayride, or a sunset bird walk.

We will have swag bags, door prizes, bird art exhibits, photography exhibits, speakers, special guests, and much more! See our website or Facebook page for a full schedule of events.
