Spurn Migration Festival (Migfest)

September 12, 2025 @ 8:00 am September 14, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

Expect a warm welcome to the UK’s premier bird migration site. Situated on the east coast of Yorkshire, sandwiched between the Humber Estuary and North Sea, Spurn Peninsula offers superb birding opportunities at the prime time of year. Visible migration, sea-watching, estuary-watching, hedgerows, wetlands, and, of course, the iconic peninsula itself each provide their own special birds. Join us for an action-packed weekend, with guided walks, illustrated talks, a quiz, workshops, masterclasses, and the world famous catering provided by the Spurn Ladies.

Expect a mixture of common birds migrating through in good numbers and scarce migrants if the weather is conducive. Spurn is also renowned for its rarities, which turn up with surprising frequency!

Places are limited, and Migfest is sold out every year, so book early. Tickets go on sale from late April. Discounted packages, weekend passes, day tickets, and camping available. Prices start from £24.

Event kindly sponsored by Swarovski, lecture marquee sponsored by Yorkshire Coast Nature.
