Nebraska Crane Migration

  • This event has passed.

March 1, 2024 March 31, 2024

Experience one of the world’s last great migrations! Every March, more than a million Sandhill Cranes gather on the Platte River in central Nebraska to feed for several weeks before continuing north to their nesting grounds. Crane Trust’s spacious riverfront viewing blinds are placed to provide spectacular vistas of the largest Sandhill Crane roost on the river.

Crane Trust offers a variety of crane viewing options to make your experience truly magical. We invite you to book a Public Crane Viewing Tour for sunrise or sunset viewing. For an elevated premier experience, stay one or two nights in comfortable accommodations for a VIP Overnight Experience. Crane Trust members can join us from anywhere in the world for Virtual Crane Tours throughout March.

Other programs and activities for all ages are offered at Crane Trust throughout the migration season, including Photography Workshops, Speaker Series, Art Open House and more.

Booking for 2024 crane viewing tours will open early January 2024. Book online at our website at cranetrust.org or by calling 308-382-1820.

Crane Trust Members get Exclusive Priority Booking of public blinds in advance of the public through our Member Portal! Click here to become a member.
