Migration Madness

May 1, 2024 May 31, 2024

Connecticut Audubon‘s Migration Magic 2024 is a month-long festival celebrating the wonder of bird migration in Connecticut with a variety of activities for all ages and experience levels. Bird walks and other programs will take place at Connecticut Audubon’s eight centers located in Fairfield, Milford, Old Lyme, Pomfret, Hampton, the Greater Hartford Area, and Sherman, Connecticut.

We invite you to participate in the Migration Magic Birdathon (a fundraiser for bird conservation in Connecticut), the 50-plus bird walks scheduled throughout the state, and the Migration Magic Photo Contest.

  • Bird walks and programs led by experienced birders, designed to bring you closer to Connecticut’s birds. You can find a listing of 50-plus walks and other programs at our website.
  • A Birdathon for people of all ages and all skill levels. Participate in this friendly competition at any time during May 2024. The goal is to spot as many bird species as you can. The Birdathon is a fundraiser for bird conservation in the state. Great fun and great prizes for a great cause! You can find the Birdathon rules on our website.
  • A Photo Contest for adults and young birders. Capture the beauty of birds in their natural habitat, with categories for adults and children. The photo contest rules are available online.
