Nebraska Crane Festival

March 6, 2021 - April 11, 2021

https://rowe.audubon.org/crane-viewing

Every March, over 600,000 Sandhill Cranes converge on the Platte River Valley in central Nebraska to fuel up before continuing north to their nesting grounds. One of the greatest wildlife spectacles in North America is this gathering of cranes, the largest in the world. Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary is at the heart of this magnificent crane staging area.

Rowe Sanctuary offers guided viewing experiences from February 15 to April 15 to see the spectacular concentrations of Sandhill Cranes.

The Nebraska Crane Festival is held from March 6 to April 11 and brings together hundreds of crane lovers from around the country to Kearney, Nebraska, to interact with a wide range of environmental speakers, take part in incredible birding trips, and, best of all, experience the world’s largest gathering of Sandhill Cranes! Keynote speakers to be announced.

Registration begins in early December.
