15th Annual Ladd Marsh Bird Festival

The 15th Annual Ladd Marsh Bird Festival will take place May 15, 16, 17, 2020 near, La Grande OR. The Friday evening kickoff will feature Ladd Marsh Biologist M. Cathy Nowak with “A Year in the Lives of Ladd Marsh Sandhill Cranes.” Her presentation will focus on the local breeding group of cranes during breeding and non-breeding seasons. On Saturday morning of the festival, volunteers will staff 6 stations on the wildlife area to assist visitors with locating and identifying birds. A variety of field trips will take participants to areas with potential for Great Grey Owl, woodpeckers, and other forest birds, warblers, shorebirds, and more. The wildlife area, normally closed to visitors during nesting season, will be open all weekend.
