Costa’s Hummingbird is Exciting Rare Visitor in West Texas
July 15, 2021While every moment with the tiny, bejeweled hummingbirds of West Texas is a treat, it is especially fun when a rare or unexpected visitor stops by the feeder. These compact hummingbirds typically range in western Mexico and certain areas of the southwestern U.S., and this individual marks only the second verified summer record of a Costa’s Hummingbird in Texas!
