Whether you\u2019re a beginner or a lifelong wildlife enthusiast, spend an amazing two days witnessing a spectacular spring migration in northeastern Michigan along Lake Huron at Tawas Point State Park<\/a>. Tawas Point is a premier hotspot for warbler viewing in the Midwest.\u00a0Beyond warblers, participants can usually view over 100 species (songbirds to waterfowl) in just one day. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To participate, purchase your required Recreation Passport<\/a> or Day Pass before you come. Once you get to the festival, stop by the welcome tent to sign our guestbook and obtain information about regional birding hotspots. From the welcome tent, you can hike the park and meet with experts (guides), who are stationed at popular viewing areas (especially for warblers and shorebirds). This year, the park\u2019s pavilion will be a gathering place for bird trivia and educational booths related to bird conservation. This free festival runs from 8 a.m. to dusk on Friday & Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you leave the festival, consider visiting some of the regional hotspots including Tuttle Marsh<\/a>, largo Springs<\/a>, Lumberman\u2019s Monument,<\/a> and the Scenic River Road Byway<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
