Woodstork Festival

April 11, 2025 April 12, 2025

Welcome to the Woodstork Birding Festival at Crooked River State Park, where the magic of Georgia’s avian wonders comes to life in a celebration of nature and community. The 500-acre Crooked River State Park provides the perfect location of pine flatwoods, salt marsh, maritime forest, and trails (land, river, and boardwalk) to enjoy a variety of bird species. Hosted by the Camden County Audubon, delight in a day filled with expert-led birding programs, artisanal crafts, ranger-led kayak paddles and hiking adventures, and much more.

This festival is more than an event; it’s a unique blend of education, adventure, and conservation. Come connect with nature, support birding opportunities, and contribute to the protection of our feathered friends and their habitats in this unforgettable outdoor experience.

The festival headquarters are in the park’s nature center featuring a number of animals native to coastal Georgia.
