Wings Over Muscatatuck

May 11, 2024 All day

Wings Over Muscatatuck is a family-oriented nature festival at Muscatatuck NWR in Seymour featuring bird walks and van tours, interpretive programs with live birds of prey, children’s nature activities, birdbanding, Junior Duck Stamp Contest awards ceremony, silent auction, and much more.

There are more than 280 species of birds that have been recorded at the refuge since it was established in 1966. The festival is designed to teach the public about the importance of migratory birds and especially the importance of the refuge to both humans and the migratory bird population.

The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society, the refuge’s nonprofit friends group, is the main sponsor of the festival.

A complete schedule of events will be available in the spring at the refuge or online at the Wings Over Muscatatuck Facebook page or the Jackson County website.
