Wings and Wetlands Birding Festival

April 23, 2021 - April 24, 2021


The festival is held every other year on odd-numbered years. It is hosted by The Kansas Wetlands Education Center, along with The Nature Conservancy,  Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks & TourismCity of Great Bend, and the Kansas Birding Festival, Inc.  Events take place at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center at Cheyenne Bottoms and Stoneridge Country Club in Great Bend.

Improve your shorebird watching skills at two of the best birding spots in the Midwest at this 2-day festival. Experienced guides will take you on multiple field trips to Cheyenne Bottoms, Quivira National Wildlife Refuge, and other locations during peak shorebird migration. Greater prairie-chicken lek viewing opportunities will also be available. Keynote speaker to be announced.
