Spring Bluebird Festival

  • This event has passed.

March 23, 2024 All day

The Society is very excited to announce that our 20th Spring Bluebird Festival will be held March 23, 2024, in Ann Arbor. Our flagship event returns to Washtenaw Community College where we held a highly attended Festival in 2018. This year’s event will be our biggest and best to date, with an incredible slate of speakers, more space, and an expanded Nature Expo with lots of educational exhibits, resources, and items for sale. This Festival will also celebrate the Michigan Bluebird Society’s 20th Anniversary of advancing bluebird conservation in the State of Michigan. So, keep an eye on our website and the newsletter for more details.

Keynote Speaker Stan Tekiela is a nationally-known naturalist, wildlife photographer, author, and bluebird landlord.

The purpose of the Spring Bluebird Festival is to educate people about how to help bluebirds improve their nesting success and survival long term in the state.   Representatives of the Michigan Bluebird Society will be there to answer questions on bluebirds and help people interested in attracting them with nesting boxes and feeders.  In addition, there will be a Nature Expo featuring products for sale and other conservation group informational displays.  A supervised Kids’ Activity Area will be set up with educational projects and games for children.
