Rio Grande Valley Lady Birders Weekend

Birding is comprised of more than 60% women, but fewer than 10% of bird guides are women. Join us for a weekend by women, for women. Several women guides from across the state of Texas will travel to the Rio Grande Valley to guide three days of field trips. The event will kick off with a Thursday evening welcome reception at Pecuilar Nest B&B, with great casual sunset birding on the lake. 

Friday through Sunday will consist of field trips throughout the Rio Grande Valley in the mornings, with late afternoon presentations at Peculiar Nest. Finally, each evening will conclude with an optional happy hour social from 5-7 at our festival hotel, Embassy Suites McAllen. Discounted hotel rates are available from the link on our website.
