Philly Fall Nature Fest at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge features fun hands-on activities designed to keep the whole family active and outdoors. This totally free event allows people of all ages to connect with the great wild resources of our area, learn new skills, and get involved in preserving our public lands and watershed.
With more than 10 miles of trails, the refuge provides many opportunities for visitors to connect with nature. Festival activities include archery, live animals, demonstrations, nature centered activities, bird walks, tours, music, food, and more! Come learn about Pennsylvania wildlife and other environmental organizations.
Stop by our Visitor Center for helpful information, including maps, brochures, birding checklists, and restrooms. Binoculars and fishing rods are available for loan, free of charge. Explore the center’s exhibits to learn more about the wildlife and habitats of the refuge and the communities that support the refuge’s work.
