Pennsylvania Society for Ornithology’s Birding Festival

May 19, 2023 May 21, 2023

Birders from all over the state will be gathering for a time of great birding, making and renewing friendships, and an opportunity to increase their knowledge about birds! Field trips are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday morning in Centre, Huntingdon, and Blair counties where over 25 breeding and up to 8 migrating warblers species can be sighted. First ever, there will be two photography sessions and a drawing session on weekend mornings.

The Keynote Speaker for the Saturday evening banquet is George Armistead. He is the author of Better Birding: Tips, Tools and Concepts for the Field. He has visited all 7 continents for birding and has been guiding bird tours since 2002. He recently started his own touring company, Hillstar Nature Tours.

The meeting and programs will be available to watch online if you can’t make it to the event.
