April 11, 2024 April 14, 2024

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the charismatic prairie-chickens up close and personal on their leks or booming grounds as they aggressively defend territories and perform courtship displays. Northwest Kansas offers the unique opportunity to view both Lesser and Greater Prairie-Chicken species where their ranges overlap. Additional field trips to visit wetlands of international importance. A post-festival trip to Nebraska offers the opportunity to see Sharp-tailed Grouse.
