Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah

The 16th Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah is a one-day annual event sponsored by Henderson Feathers (nonprofit 501c3) to celebrate the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Free events will promote the understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird for people of all ages. There will also be speakers, hummingbird banding, Hummingbird Garden Tour, educational displays, food vendors, craft vendors, children’s activities, raffle prizes located in Bender Park and in the Henderson Hummingbird Garden . . . watch for signs!!

No admission charge!! Rain or shine!! Free fun for the whole family!!

Hummingbird Banding
9 a.m. to Noon
A licensed hummingbird bander will catch and band birds, allowing you to see them up close and learn about hummingbird research at the Henderson Hummingbird Garden, 4th Street and Oak Street, Henderson, Minnesota.

Hummingbird Garden Tour
The garden tour will be led by master gardeners, located at Henderson Hummingbird Garden, 4th Street and Oak Street, Henderson, Minnesota.

Speakers: To be announced
The speaker presentations will be held at the Bender Park Shelter, 200 N. 3rd Street, Henderson, MN 56044.

Educational Displays:
Larry Pfarr (Bees), Amanda Vogel (Pollinators), and Ron Windingstad.
