Davis Mountains Hummingbird Celebration

August 19 - August 22

In the heart of Texas’ Chihuahuan Desert Sky Islands, Fort Davis, at an elevation of 5,050 ft, is known as the Hummingbird Capital of Texas. Ten hummingbird species have been identified at the Hummingbird Celebration! Pack your life list with hummingbirds and great southwestern bird species. Exceptional field trips to the beautiful Christmas Mountains and Lucifer Hummingbirds, spectacular private ranches, and bird gardens.

This year’s Celebration will be a bit different as we have built in CDC Covid-19 practices just to be safe. All indoor social activities have been cancelled or moved to outdoor venues, and group sizes will be smaller. We are focusing this year’s event on great field trips and sharing birds with our visitors. Details can be found on the festival website along with a link to the Chamber of Commerce listing of local accommodations.

Registration online only starting May 15, 2021. Contact: Cecilia Riley at info@davismountainshummingbirdcelebration.com.
