Birdiest Festival in America

April 22 - April 26

The 2020 Birdiest Festival in America has been cancelled.

April 21 to 25, 2021

Combining amazing spring migration in perhaps the busiest flyway in the country; field trips to famous South Texas ranch and Gulf Coast hot spots; and this year, a globally-known keynote speaker; the fourth “Birdiest Festival in America,” April 22–26, has earned its wings!  Based at Corpus Christi’s scenic South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center, the festival—now larger and longer—welcomes David Allen Sibley, author and illustrator of The Sibley Guide to Birds, presenting “The Art of Identification,” Friday April 24, at the Emerald Beach Hotel.

In 2019, the Birdiest Festival’s three-year species count hit 286, adding eight new ‘150 Club’ members.  For 2020, it offers 17 different field trips—one lead by Sibley; six presentations, two workshops; three different bird walks; eight Jonathan Wood Raptor Project shows; opening reception with Happy Hour cash bar / Texas BBQ dinner; Vendor Trade Show; artisan booths; Saturday Family Fun Day; and a brand new four-day RIO GRANDE VALLEY post-trip limited to eight participants!

Basic $35 registration includes keynote event, three presentations or 1 workshop, and all other features except opening reception, field trips, walks.
