Arrow Rock Birds & Bees

May 7

The Arrow Rock Birds & Bees Festival was started by the Missouri River Bird Observatory (MRBO) in 2019 in conjunction with the Arrow Rock Garden Market.
The Festival’s purpose is to raise awareness for animals, plants, and nature in general and provide a fun, family-oriented experience in the surroundings of Arrow Rock.

In 2021, the Birds & Bees Festival was a combined in-person and virtual event. Presentations were given at the top of the hour throughout the festival, with in-person guided nature walks in Arrow Rock and amazing keynote speakers. (You can view all the virtual portions on MRBO’s Birds & Bees YouTube playlist).

In 2022, we are back to a fully in-person event.  On May 7th, 2022, the Birds & Bees Festival and the Arrow Rock Garden Market will be in full swing on Arrow Rock’s Main Street!  We will have >40 booths with activities, educational demonstrations, crafts, food, ecological info of all kinds, and nature-related items for sale.  Guided hikes, including several bird hikes around the Arrow Rock State Historic Site and adjacent Big Muddy National Wildlife Refuge, will take place throughout the day.

Please keep an eye on https://mrbo.org/festival/ for further information.
