Annual Snow Goose Festival of the Pacific Flyway

January 26, 2023 - January 29, 2023


This action-packed 4-day event celebrates the remarkable journey of millions of waterfowl and raptors along the Pacific Flyway that call the Northern Sacramento Valley their home during the winter months.

Choose from more than 50 field trips that are sure to appeal to a wide variety of interests and ability levels. In addition to numerous bird-watching field trips for waterfowl, cranes, raptors, and songbirds, you might choose to take a guided tour of a nature preserve, visit a local vineyard, or hike the scenic Sutter Buttes in search of lofty views and resident wildlife.

Snow Goose Festival /Altacal Audubon Covid-19 Safety Guidelines

  • Masks are required for everyone indoors at the Patrick Ranch Museum, Snow Goose Festival Field Trip Headquarters, regardless of vaccination status.
  • If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
  • No carpooling unless with family members or your social pod.
  • No sharing of optics.
  • If you feel sick, don’t come.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be set up inside and out.
  • Please note that the Snow Goose Festival will be subject to COVID-19 current conditions.
