Alaska Bald Eagle Festival

November 9, 2022 November 12, 2022

Join us this November to experience the largest gathering of Bald Eagles in the country! Over 3,000 bald eagles gather along a four-mile stretch of the Chilkat River in the 48,000-acre Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, located a few miles north of Haines. The annual festival coincides with the peak concentration of eagles, which return to the Chilkat Valley each fall to feed on a late salmon run.

This spectacular wildlife phenomenon is a rare opportunity to stand along an open stretch of wild Alaskan water and be visibly surrounded by countless bald eagles.

Festival activities include:
American Bald Eagle Foundation Museum
Live Bird Presentations
Eagle viewing in the Preserve
Local Artist Fair
Wildlife presentations
Evening entertainment
And More!
