18th Annual Great Adirondack Birding Celebration (GABC)

June 3 - June 5

The Great Adirondack Birding Celebration (GABC) is designed to introduce birders of all ages and skill levels to the unique boreal bird species and habitats in the Adirondack Park. The celebration features 8 different birding field trips to local Important Bird Areas (IBAs), with full (Friday) and half-day trips (Saturday and Sunday), and presentations by accomplished ornithologists. New this year:  Accessible Beginner Birding field trip at John Dillon Park in Long Lake, New York. Field trips have limited capacity so be certain to register soon.  Other activities at the VIC Center include a live, bird-on-hand demonstration with Adirondack Raptors on Saturday afternoon.

The celebration will be held at the Paul Smith’s College Visitor Interpretive Center in Paul Smiths, NY, with most field trips offsite.

We have a fantastic lodging partner in Hotel Saranac  (Curio Collection by Hilton, 100 Main Street, Saranac Lake, New York 12983) with reduced rates.
