Pine Grosbeak Party Kicks Off Ontario FeederWatch Cam Season
November 6, 2025The Ontario FeederWatch Cam is back for another season, and northern specialties are already arriving in bunches.
In this clip, more than a dozen Pine Grosbeaks crowd the backyard feeders of our cam hosts Tammie and Ben Haché in Manitouwadge, Ontario! Watch as these winter finches arrive one by one until they fill the tray for an incredible afternoon gathering.
These colorful grosbeaks live in open evergreen forests with spruce, pine, or fir across Canada, in mountainous regions in the West, and in subalpine forests in Eurasia. In late fall and winter, lucky observers may spot them visiting feeders stocked with sunflower seeds across Canada and the northern United States.
