Cornell Hawks Cam Temporarily Offline For Infrastructure Updates
November 25, 2024The Cornell Hawks Cam will be offline for a period leading up to the 2025 breeding season while the infrastructure that supplies power and internet to the cams at the Fernow nest site are updated. This work is being done as part of Cornell University’s Meinig Fieldhouse project, which began mobilizing construction of a new field house and a separate outdoor turf field on campus to the south of Tower Road and the hawks’ current nest site in October 2024.
We expect the infrastructure updates to be complete well in advance of when the Red-tailed Hawks’ pre-breeding activities begin at the nest site in February 2025.
