Growing up, beautiful songbirds singing their hearts out in my backyard and great hawks flying up in the sky caught my imagination, and I always wanted to capture their beauty on a film roll. The photographs of the masters of the art, such as "Fire in the Mist," by Arthur Morris, inspired me to no end.
Later in life, when my job as a software engineer brought me to the Silicon Valley, one thing which I brought along with me was my interest in bird watching. From an early age itself, an interest in birds had gotten along well in my brain. As soon as I moved to California, I started pursuing my interest in bird photography. I started on this hobby seriously in the summer of 2009, after I bought my first DSLR camera. Since then, I have hiked mountain trails, driven hundreds of miles, and walked, watched, and waited patiently for countless hours in the field in anticipation of a perfect shot of my favorite birds. In the end, I invariably find that they make a perfect pause for me to capture.
