"Wild Urbania," oils and ceramic art by Tricia Zimic

Artist Statement and Bio:

“As artists before me, my obsession with nature is expressed in re-creating it through art. My work in this series entitled:'Wild Urbania’ highlights the contrast of ‘wild’ animals in our urban and suburban environments. The messages contained in this series are revealed through the juxtaposition of decaying New Jersey landscapes and the persistence of wildlife, striking the viewer on both a visceral and intellectual level. From my roots as a book illustrator, I am interested in communicating a story -- in this case, one of renewal and conservation.”
